The Democratic State Convention at Indianapolis on January 8 1844 adopts an address to Indiana voters urging defense of constitutional rights against Whig policies. It denounces a national bank tariffs and state debt schemes, calls for economy and equal rights, and urges unity to defeat alleged aristocratic encroachments.
