Johnstown pa sept 27 Mr and Mrs James M Shumaker receive a War Department telegram reporting their son Lieut Donald Shumaker of Company F 110th Pennsylvania Infantry was killed in action in France. He joined the old Tenth Regiment at Camp Hancock Ga where he earned his commission and his unit has seen heavy fighting since going overseas with several casualties.
