Six Injured in Auto Crashes on Local Roads
Six persons were injured today in separate accidents on the Salisburg road and nearby routes. A 14 year old Shelocta boy, David Kimmel, suffered a fractured right wrist when a bus swerved to avoid a stopped car and hit a pole at Saltsburg Parkwood. He was taken to Indiana Hospital and treated. In a second incident near Indiana, James Kerr of Detroit was seriously hurt when his car overturned on the Benjamin Franklin Highway four miles east of Indiana. Kerr suffered possible concussion while three other passengers sustained minor injuries.

Stolen Chrysler Car Burned After Theft Near Jacksonville
Dominick Viole of West Philadelphia, whose Chrysler sedan was stolen Tuesday after he left a Chapter House meeting, found burned south of Jacksonville yesterday afternoon. Indiana officers examined the ruins while witnesses recalled seeing a fire reflection from the area. The car, mostly burned save for the radiator and motor, appears to have had its gas tank cap removed before the blaze. Viole reported the theft around 11 PM and helped search the region.
