Engineers face arrest after deadly railroad wreck
Bethlehem Pa September 29 193? Ins Henry Schmidt engineer of the Binghampton flyer and Henry Conlin engineer of the Lehigh Limited faced arrest today on an old statute misdemeanor for disregarding signals in the crash that killed eight and injured many. No specific charge was listed but arrests likely after the coroner's inquiry. Schmidt remains in St Luke's Hospital with back injuries while thirty two others in the same hospital recover or near discharge.

FLYNN HIGHWAY LATEST NAMED FLYNN HIGHWAY LATEST NAMED .HARRISBURG, Fla., Sept. 29.- INS-Pennsylvania Highway Route No. 8 from Waynesburg through Pittsburgh to Erie has been officially designated as the William Flynn Highway in honor of one of the first pioneers in the good roads movement in the state. The naming was approved by Gov. Pinchot. The governor praised former State Senator Flynn ap, founder of the good roads movement, noting the road passes through Pittsburgh, his former home. The route runs from Waynesburg through Washington, Pittsburgh, Butler, Franklin, Oil City, Titusville, Union City to Erie.
