The Gazette runs a rapid fire campaign urging subscriptions to win the $15,000 Everybody Wins Something grand prizes. Votes surge as candidates push for four year subscriptions, with midnight Monday as the decisive cutoff and heavy emphasis on extending subscriptions for extra votes.
In a late surge, candidates urge voters to act during the final hours of the voting period. Subscriptions are promoted as a key method to secure support, emphasized as the biggest single vote booster. The plea stresses counting every vote and subscription, with a caution not to exceed ten in total for counting purposes.
District Two will include all territory east of the Saltsburg Indiana Pike and south of an extended line through Indians Boro excluding the Boro and including Hemer City Graceton Coral Blacklick Josephine Jacksonville Mechanicsburg Wehrum Dilltown Armagh Blairsville and Strongstown. One two or three of the cars aid as many cash prizes as there are participants in this district.
District No. Three will include all territory west and north of the Saltsburg Indiana Pike and the Punxsutawney highway exclusive of the Bore of Indiana. It names Smicksboro North Point Trade City Plumville Sagamore Georgeville Willet Chambersville Creekside Shelocta West Lebanon McIntyre Clarksburg Saltaburs Elderton Juneau Iselin and Marchand. One two or three cars and as many cash prizes will be awarded to active participants in this district.
District No Four will include all territory east of the Indiana Punxsutawney highway and north of an extended line through Indiana exclusive of Indiana bore. It names Clymer Dixonville Deckers Point Commodore Hortons Stafford Kellysburg Glen Campbell Cockwort Gipsy Pine Flate Covode Arcadia Penn Run Cherry Tree Hilladale Heilwood Rossiter and Marion Center.
A persuasive appeal urges relentless campaigning over six days to secure votes and subscriptions. It promises up to 500 a week for effort, noting extensions yield large vote gains and urging immediate action before October 5.
A promotional pitch touts that a few subscriptions can yield over 1.7 million votes. Three three year subscripts now grant regular, club and bonus votes totaling 1,006,000. Two four year Gazettes add 720,000 regular votes and 1,360,000 total, claiming two clubs and substantial extra votes. The text urges readers to recruit friends to campaign with this method.
