Quarantine against infantile paralysis to end this evening at twelve o'clock. Theatres and other amusements to reopen for children tomorrow for the first time in six weeks. State epidemic averted by prompt action. Sabbath schools to resume for young people.
The six week old statewide quarantine against infantile paralysis ends at midnight and public amusements may reopen for children under 16 tomorrow. Health guards at railroad stations are relieved, though health certificates may still be required for travel to states maintaining quarantine. Nine cases have appeared in Indiana county, with one in Indiana, and a Spencer girl in the Indiana Hospital receives further treatment. School inspections proceed to verify pupil health and absence of infectious conditions.

John Lessie aged 36 a miner was instantly killed this morning around 9 o clock when caught under a fall of slate in a mine at Austman. An unknown fellow worker was seriously injured and taken to Indiana Hospital. Lesso had lived in this country for years and leaves a wife and three children in Italy. No funeral arrangements have been made.
