Seven individuals waived grand jury action or pleaded guilty before Judge J N Lougham. Joseph Stephenson of Johnstown was fined 100 dollars and costs for practicing medicine without a license. Robert Harper of Clymer pleaded guilty to assault and battery and aggravated assault and was fined 25 dollars and costs and 6 months to a year in the county workhouse after a scuffle with Chief Tony Askey. George Harper of Clymer also pleaded guilty and received 10 dollars and costs and 20 days in jail. Peter Perotti of Washington township, and his son Tony, were convicted of aggravated assault and battery and ordered to pay prosecution costs and 100 dollars toward hospital and rector’s bills for Blair Carnanan who was shot when he went to their farmhouse.
