Girl Shot in Cemetery Near Piermont
We report the death of 21 year old Charlotte Philcox of Goshen New York found shot through the heart in a hillside cemetery near Piermont. An autopsy found no powder burns and police discount self inflicted death. A .22 pistol lay 40 feet away and an automobile was found parked nearby. The gun is registered to Thomas Philcox of Goshen and his relation to the victim is unclear. Police say the pistol was fired twice but the girl was shot once.
