Harry B. Rearke, former Armstrong county treasurer, must defend in court his 1930 accounts as recorded in the auditors report for that year. Judge J Frank Graff allowed County Commissioners B D Schaeffer and James A Sproul to appeal from the audit despite the 60 day limit. NEW YORK Sept 23 Ins New losses approximating 100 million were added to the reverses suffered by Insull investors after the receivers' report on Corporation Securities Company was filed in federal court. State's Attorney Swangon released a list of 205 preferred clients including Owen D. Young and Gerard Swope of General Electric. The judge had already branded Corporation Securities as hopelessly insolvent amid a near 15 million debt to banks and only 30 thousand cash on hand. The audit is hampered by funds shortage and no age decision on the disclosure was made.

Margaret Daugherty Young widow of James T. Young, long prominent Ebensburg figure, died at her Ogle Street home after months of declining health. Uniontown Pa September 23 VNS the three Tate brothers John George and Sam Tate were held without bail in Fayette County jail after a habeas corpus proceeding. Judge S John Morrow ordered they remain jailed for the December term when murder charges against them will be heard.
