Herb doctor found guilty of practicing without license
H. M. Allison of Pittsburgh, a self styled herb doctor, was found guilty in Kittanning court of practicing medicine without a license. He had previous Allegheny county convictions and the Superior court upheld that there is no such thing as an herb doctor. He held a state issued certificate for massaging and issuing herbs but admitted diagnosing cases and distributing herb medicine under other directions.

Thomas Heming aged 20 and George Heming 22, both of Huff Indiana County, and Roy Diehl 24 of Everett Bedford County, were bound over to Westmoreland criminal court after a Greensburg alderman preliminary hearing for breaking into the Charles Galbraith garage in St Clair Township last Saturday. Two British youths William Crooks age 17 and Stanley Flanagan age 18 escaped the French Foreign Legion at Sidi Bel Abbes Algeria. Disguised as Arabs they left the garrison on September 11 and reached the coast in a motor truck. They boarded the steamer Almoor but jumped overboard near Gibraltar when it headed for French soil. They drifted for hours until the British steamer Glenshawe picked them up and brought them to Rotterdam.

Fatally Hurt at Brenizer Mine Near Blairsville
