In Vandergrift on Sept 17 a group of North Vandergrift men attempted to force a nickle-grabber slot machine at a Parktowne tavern to pay out its jackpot. After pouring coins and triggering the device, the machine produced no payout and the men dragged the machine outside, prompting the tavern owner to intervene.
