Misa Maria Henry a resident of White township died at her home near Crete church on Wednesday evening September 15 at 6 80 o’clock after a cancer illness dating from last May. Born at the Henry homestead she was a Crete church worker and is survived by brothers J J and J G Henry and sister Mrs Maurice Lockard of near Homer City who will attend funeral services conducted by Rev J N Park at the Henry home Saturday morning at 10 o’clock with interment in Oakland cemetery.
Joseph M Repine longtime Blacklick township resident died at his home Wednesday morning September 15 at age 78 from complications of diseases. He leaves a wife and several children. Funeral services will be held at the Repine home Friday morning with interment in Oakland cemetery.
George Williams six-year-old son of Mr and Mrs Andrew Williams of near Blacklick died Wednesday evening September 16 at 8 o'clock from diphtheria No funeral arrangements have been announced by the family.
Mr. Leo T. Duffner of Bairdstown and Miss Anna M. Stiteler of Blairaville wed on Tuesday September 14 at SS Simon and Jude's Catholic Church Blairaville. They plan a short wedding trip and will reside in Blairaville where Duffner works in the piass factory.
Otto J. Nupp editor of the Sykeaville Post-Dispatch and Miss Ida May Fillhart of Henderson township Jefferson county were married on Wednesday evening at eight o'clock. The new Mrs Nupp has frequently visited friends here.
Emma Dora Powell of Dora Pennsylvania married Horace A. Smith of North Point Pennsylvania in a quiet ceremony at the Reformed Parsonage Punxsutawney on the eighth inst conducted by Rev. A O B Kerschner.
The Conemaugh Coal Co plans a large engine and generator to haul coal by electric power. Presbyterians set a Thursday social on September 28. Trustees elected for the Presbyterian church are A. G. Campbell J. M. Lemon and James McKee. A Town Hall entertainment titled The County Fair is slated for Friday September 24 to benefit the Free Reading Room. Joe A. McClaran attends a Chicago druggists convention. Ralph L. McIwaine visited Pittsburgh earlier this week. Mr and Mrs J W Shadle returned from Burgaw North Carolina after months there.
