Edward Hayes 64 formerly of Vandergrift and Apollo steel plants died Monday at 2:30 P.M. in North Apollo after a long steel industry career. Born February 14, 1873 in Plumville he moved to the Kiski Valley early and worked for American Sheet and Tin Plate before transferring to Apollo Steel in 1913 where he remained employed. Survived by wife Laura seven children two sisters and one brother plus seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held today at Apollo First Lutheran Church with multiple pastors officiating. burial in Vandergrift cemetery.
