Gastonia Police Arrested Following Terror Reign
In Gastonia North Carolina on September 18 police and eleven mill workers were arrested after a three day probe into Monday's anti communistic terror spree. Bonds of 1000 dollars each were posted for all fourteen suspects as prosecutors pursued charges of conspiracy to kidnap assault with intent to kill and false imprisonment. Police officers Tom Gilbert Charles Ferguson and A J Roach were key state witnesses in the Beal case. Seven National Textile Workers Union organizers were then arrested in Charlotte on firearm charges.
