A referendum on granting beverage licenses will be placed on the November general election ballot in four boroughs and five townships of Indiana County. Homer City Marion Center Plumville Smicksburg will vote, along with North Mahoning South Mahoning East Mahoning West Mahoning and Armstrong townships. Blairsville and Saltsburg did not petition the commissioners for local option.

Mrs Mabel Lengel 44 of Pine Grove Schuylkill County was injured in a late yesterday accident when her car skitted and overturned near Chickaree Schoolhouse on the William Penn Highway. She is at Memorial Hospital Johnstown in critical condition with a fractured skull and has been unconscious since the crash.
