Greensburg, Sept 11. A jury of twelve men and one woman acquitted 29 year old Joseph Burns charged with the murder of Louis Ashley 33 after three hours and 38 minutes of deliberation. Burns claimed the unwritten law justified his slaying of his rival who he said threatened his wife and children. The defense stressed Burns acted to protect his home.
