Marion Center store opens in fine new two story room
The 5. B. Good company opens its new store room on the site of the burned Marion Hotel. The formal opening Tuesday evening drew three or four hundred attendees. A small orchestra provided music while visitors were greeted by Merv Good and refreshments were served. The room measures about 30 by 70 feet with a two story structure and basement, brick casing, iron and white enamel ceilings, plate glass front, and ample shelving. The interior is described as bright, well lighted, and up to date with convenient service features.

Radio wedding broadcast echoes in capital ceremony
In Washington on September 8 the first radio wedding in the capital occurred. John H. Collier, a carpenter, married Miss Helen Beatrice Cook, a clerk in the Commerce Department, in a ceremony broadcast to scores of amateur radio fans who enjoyed the novelty of becoming invisible witnesses.

September Inquisitors Returns Continue With Indictments
The September inquisitors list includes charges for possessing intoxicating liquor and manufacturing liquor by Alfred From-Selling. Charles Dias, Mike Murray, and Thorn Dias face riot and incitement charges. Arthur Caparta is charged with carrying concealed deadly weapons.
