Homer Theatre opens again after renovations. The stage entrance lobby and ticket booth have been updated. Seating now up to 650 with standing room for 100. Town residents enjoy access to top new films at popular prices.

Ree Rosalyn Scott of Wilkinsburg reported to state police in Greensburg that a diamond ring valued at 1000 dollars and several rings and pins worth 500 dollars were taken from a table near a public swimming pool on the William Penn Highway at Murray’sville. Police investigate theft after she left the table briefly.

Obituaries report the deaths of an elderly farmer son of Mr and Mrs Stonebraker born July 10 1845 in Rayne township and long resident of White township. Also Mary Adamson 62 of West Lebanon with four children and funeral plans at West Lebanon Presbyterian Church and Greenwood Cemetery Indiana. William R Calhoun 63 of Harrisburg died suddenly with heart trouble. former West Lebanon native tied to the Banking Department and Republican circle.
Major Arthur Brooks, longtime Black valet at the White House, died at his home after a long illness. Brooks served as personal attendant to five presidents Roosevelt Taft Wilson Harding and Coolidge, who praised him as one of the finest men he knew.
