Kiski Valley PSP Reports August Traffic and Investigations
State police at Kiski Valley logged 49 traffic accidents in August per Sergeant Leo Homzuk. Three fatal crashes were reported. Troopers arrested 321 motorists for traffic violations, issued 130 written warnings for minor violations, and 381 warnings for faulty equipment. There were 137 criminal investigations resulting in 32 arrests.

Four Hurt in Area Traffic Incidents
Four persons sustained minor injuries in district highway crashes yesterday. In Indiana, a Millar car and a Patterson car collided at Philadelphia and 14th Street, sending a 16 year old passenger to Indiana Area Hospital with cuts and abrasions. Damages were about 600 dollars. Other early crashes on Chestnut and N. 5th, and Philadelphia Street, caused minor damages totaling around 1,000 and 350 dollars respectively. An Aliquippa motorcyclist, Earl Kamereiner, was treated and released after a collision on Route 210 near Punxsutawney. In Punxsutawney two teens reported possible injuries after a Findley and Mahoning Street crash, while a separate collision on West Mahoning Street left minor damage to two other cars. No serious injuries reported.
