Marriage ceremonies were held in the Presbyterian Church at Clymer with Rev. John Mitchell officiating. The couple, Miss Halen M Runna and Horace Aon of Marion Center, announced plans for a honeymoon tour to Niagara Falls and will reside in the local area.
Anthony School held a reunion with a noon meal enjoyed by attendees of all ages. Addresses were delivered by Robert Anony from Cleveland, J. C. White of Center township, and Hon. J. Eldev of Indiana Pa. Officers elected for the coming year include President A. Iggins, Vice President Calhoun, Secretary and Treasurer Mrs. J. A. Wingar. The next reunion will be held the Saturday before Lady Day.
A Salina man A. McAttley was the bidder for hauling and placing traffic bound slag along the northeast winship line to Sample Run Etowah township in the county office letting yesterday morning. The bid was 27 cents a ton, lower than the previous bid for hauling.

Judge Langham opened yesterday’s session at 10 o clock sentencing Duncan Leppisie Bonnie Polosky and Paul Smith for larceny and felonious assault to pay costs and restitution for stolen goods. Mele Carigon fined 200 and costs for operating a motor vehicle under the influence. Clifton Nichol fined 200 and costs for driving while intoxicated. John Bayle fined 200 and costs for DUI. Leroy Wiman faces four months imprisonment on each of two forgery charges plus costs. A man named Hoover killed Mrs Gehring with a revolver at the Hoover home after pursuing her in a murder sparked by Sharp. At Battis Field a plane piloted by Pickup crashed after takeoff from Elking Field near Fairmont. Pilot Pickup suffered a fractured spine and broken hip. Barr, 80, of Fairmont, and Harold Wells, 25, also injured. The lower right wing struck a haystack, the plane nose-dived into a creek.

The new Ritz Theatre debuts with superb sound and a natural Jivary tone. Irene Rich in On Your Back charms audiences as the all talking production shines with a news reel and comedy interludes. Stanley BN, the theatre owner, is praised for modern improvements and the staff’s prompt service.
Chevy Chase announces the birth of a daughter on August 1. The baby Eveland Idelip and her mother are getting along nicely.
In a Sunday event at a service station two colored men attacked a moving Ford car after it halted at the pump. One man reportedly jumped on the vehicle, another used a blackjack, and the operator Guschick subdued the power and removed the key. The car then stopped and the assailants fled, with police later examining the abandoned vehicle believed stolen in Ohio.
Col Charles A Lindbergh and Mrs Lindbergh landed at Teverboro Airport at 1121 this morning after the plane en route from New York City faced ground fog. Weather conditions along the Pennsylvania mountains forced a precautionary landing, with plans to fly at higher altitudes where conditions were believed better. The couple spent the night at a Pennsylvania airfield.
At a special meeting of the Indiana Board of Education the bid of Universal Equipment Company of Corry Pennsylvania was accepted for bleachers costing 955,560 seating about 600. Henry Hall Indiana is listed as the agent for this company. The bleachers will be steel with wood seats and boards. Miss Virginia Adams of New York was elected teacher of physical education for girls at the high school and will report soon.
This weekend the northwest corner stop light at Fourth and Philadelphia was knocked off by a turning motorist after stopping at red. The southeast corner light also was broken off around 1:30 this morning. Car checkers recorded about 700 cars per hour passing the southeast corner during the weekend.
A large frame barn and outbuildings at the Mary L. Smith farm at Smith Station burned shortly after 1 AM. Sparks or tractor friction are blamed as the cause as a shift in wind saved the house nearby. Fire departments from Biaseyville and Blacklick aided the effort. Loss estimated at 7500 dollars, including 600 bushels of oats 400 bushels of rye 30 tons of straw and 10 tons of hay. The barn’s central portion dated to 1820 with enlargements in 1846.
