At a later appointment the belt was examined and returned, but the fortune teller disappeared with the cash.

Squire John McCune Dies. Longtime Indiana County Educator and Official

Squire John McCune, born February 1882 in Donegal township Ireland, died recently at his home near Indiana. He taught, attended Jacksonville Academy and Wentworth College, lived as a farmer, and served 18 years as White township justice of the peace until 1922. He married Mary B Hefflefinger in 1886 and leaves his wife, daughter Mrs Wilda Hazel Barnett, two grandchildren, and other relatives. Funeral services were held Friday at his home and Greenwood Cemetery burial followed.
