Lake Success Nov 6 AP Gen Douglas MacArthur notified the United Nations Security Council that Chinese Communist forces are fighting U N troops in Korea. He said intelligence identified new units and confirmed hostile contact with Chinese Communist forces deployed against U N command.

Mont Blanc Air Tragedy Ends Hope Of Survivors
In Chamonix French mountaineer authority Maj. Jacques Flottard said there was absolutely no hope of finding survivors from the Air India Constellation crash on Mont Blanc. The plane disintegrated and wreckage lay across a wide area near the French Italian frontier. The charter flight from Bombay to London carried 40 East Indian seamen and eight Indians among the crew. The British pilot was Capt Alan Saint. Temperatures plunged to minus 50 C, making rescue near impossible.

Sagamore Home Burns Out of Control Fire Destroys House
Sagamore home at Sagamore and an unnamed street suffered heavy damage after a late night fire. Company No 2 of the Indiana Fire Department responded at 10 40 p m joined by Rural Valley Firemen who kept the blaze in check with water. Assistant Fire Chief Ira Edwards said both the structure and its contents likely sustained heavy losses. No occupants were present when neighbors spotted the flames. The two story frame building belonged to David Higgins and the cause remained undetermined.

Four Aboard Plane Lost Near Lake
Army and Coast Guard planes resumed search for a private Beechcraft Bonanza missing since Saturday after taking off from Sharon Pennsylvania en route to the Notre Dame Navy football game. Pilot Stanley W. Dunbar, 29, reported losing 6 500 feet in a storm with fuel for about another hour and 45 minutes. His wife Barbara 28, and Richard Johnston 26 and Annabelle Johnston 26 were aboard. The Dunbars have three children.

Two Men Injured While Repairing Car Along Route 3
State Police report two men injured on Route 3 in 2011 between Robinson and Huff when a car crashed into a stationary vehicle. George H. Dean of McKeesport and a passenger were hurt. Dean sustained head and hand lacerations and bruises. Both were treated by Dr. L. J. Reese of Bolivar. Damages totaled over $900.
