Judge Graff Dies At 92 In Kittanning
Judge J Frank Graff of Kittanning died Monday in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital at 92 from congestive heart failure. He held the longest continuous bench tenure in history at 57 years 10 months and two days after being elected in 1923 to the Armstrong County Court of Common Pleas and serving as president judge of the 38th Judicial District for decades. He later became a senior judge and was famed as a powerful Republican in Armstrong County. His name graces the county’s latest bridge over the Allegheny River and his life included service in the Mexican Border campaign, WWI France, and leadership in the American Legion.
