Prohibitionists at district and county levels press the Democrats with renewed activity and public campaigns. The push targets voting blocs, urging turnout and denouncing opponent policies in a tense political climate.
Indiana citizens gathered in crowds to hear complete Taft Sherman election returns. Laura Ansley and Gilmore Bell read AP bulletins from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Prothonotary Wells and J. N. Langham with telephonic updates shown on a screen between the Belts and Cla Thomas buildings. A large crowd cheered as Taft victory was announced while Ward 4 ballots and local gossip indicated Republican gains.

During the prayer portion Hon. J. N. Langham hosted guests M. C Watson J. M. Marshall and Wallace Thomas. As Indiana County returns arrived the men were congratulated for their county wide lead. Langham’s party followed national results until 2 AM as published in city papers. WCTU to Serve Supper. The WCTU will host a chicken and waffle supper in Odd Fellows Hall Thursday night to raise funds for temperance efforts.
