Service trades face eased rules under NRA action

Washington May 28. The NHA began removing fair trade practices and price fixing restrictions on service trades including cleaners dyers barbers and laundries. Roosevelt authorized Recovery Administrator Slugh Johngoy to suspend these regulations in codes shaped by local trades and approved by 85 percent of members. Local codes must still be NRA approved before Blue Eagle use. The move does not alter core NRA goals such as child labor bans hours limits and collective bargaining rights.
