Dr Lorenzo Wins Damage Suit in Jefferson County

Highway Department Rejects Bids for New Road Location

The State Department of Highways rejected all bids for a 20 foot reinforced concrete highway from the borough line on Wayne Avenue to the Bennet farm on the B.P. highway after a road setting in Harrisburg. Engineers began a survey of a new location south of the borough line with plans to shift the route to the right of the present highway, then southwest to the Indiana County Street Railways track and toward Ben Avon to meet the B.P. highway. Bids will be sought after the new survey and cost estimates are completed for Harrisburg letting.

Fort Worth Endurance Flight Reaches 126 Hours

Pilot Reginald Robbing and Mechanic Jas Kelly in the Fort Worth monoplane push to set a non stop endurance record. They passed the 112 hour Graf Zeppelin and 118 hour Dix cruise marks but must stay aloft until 6 33 PM to be officially credited. Weather holds as refueling planned and ground crews monitor the final grind.

Police Question Kinfolks in Enon Valley Visit

Police questioned the Kenneys and Martin after Collins reportedly visited the Kenney home in Enon Valley Thursday night. He left around midnight and has not been seen since. A house search uncovered a rifle and a revolver.

Reports say Collins once worked at Enon Valley during highway construction about five years ago where he befriended Mrs Kenney and visited her home.
