The Indiana High School will begin its annual commencement activities with the class play The Enemy at 8:00 p m in the high school auditorium. Baccalaureate service is Sunday at 7 30 p m with Rev O B Emerson preaching. Class Day exercises Tuesday at 8:00 p m. Commencement Friday at 8:00 p m with 125 graduates. The class picnic follows Saturday at Campbell's Mill.

August Wilhelm, aged 86 and longtime Creekside resident, died at his home May 24 from complications of old age. A Union veteran, he survived Libby and Andersonville after serving during the Civil War. Gas explosion at Repplier Colliery burns seven miners
Seven miners were hospitalized in Pottsville after a gas explosion at the Repplier Colliery near Pottsville yesterday. Company officials said the blast, about 500 feet underground, was probably caused by a man smoking.

Clymer People Attend McGees Mills Dinner Dance
Thirty members of the Two Lick Social Club of Clymer and their ladies traveled to Snyder's Place at McGees Mills for an annual dinner and dance. On the Weamer farm half a mile from Marion Center a large land turtle was caught. The bottom shell bore the carved inscription 1864 Co. BLP. VY. The letters are unusually clear, likely carved by a Civil War enlisted man, though the regiment remains unidentified.
