Obituary for John Stear of Smicksburg
James Stear, aged 67, died at Juneau this afternoon after services at 2 40. The Rev H C Empfield would officiate. A son of Mr and Mrs John Stear he was born in Smicksburg. He married twice Margaret McClelland who died in 1934 and Martha Meek in 1998. A farmer by occupation he lived in his last home two years. He belonged to the U B Church of North Point and the Men’s Bible Class. He is survived by his widow and several stepchildren and siblings and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
