Beidleman Leads in Pittsburgh Contest with Fisher Lead
In unofficial tabulations Beidleman trails Fisher by 14,000 in Pittsburgh as Beidleman cites Elk county reports. Beidleman says 21 polling places were visited with only one post return outside the polling place due to winds. Lieu tenants claim a Elk county district of 215 voters saw 174 for Fisher and 33 for Beidleman amid mining industry departures.

An auto crash near Blairsville injured several Pittsburgh residents returning from Indiana. Driver Prosper and his wife were unhurt. passengers included Josephine 12 and Mario 41 Bolzonetti, a woman unnamed. all but Bolzonetti and the two children suffered cuts from shattered glass. The four wheel brake error caused the car to leave the road and overturn twice. Witness Paul Mazza of Homer City aided victims before they were taken home. The Nash sedan was severely damaged and removed to a Blacklick garage. Moonshine suppression efforts in Blairsville continued after the crash.
