Kenneth Bates an 18 year old Blairsville resident pleaded guilty to a serious charge in Blairsville court. He was fined 100 dollars and sentenced to one to three years in the Allegheny county workhouse. Sheriff Mugene Wilson delivered him to the workhouse this morning. Bates admitted he was the father of a child born last March to Mary Noel 14 of Blairsville. The child's mother Mitta Noel confessed to concealing birth and death of the infant by submerging the body in a bucket and cremating it in a heating stove.

Youth Taken to Penitentiary for Store Robbery
Zigmond Gresevinsky an 18 year old Frnest youth was sentenced by Judge J N Langham to five to 13 years in the Western Penitentiary after pleading guilty to robbing the Mahoning Supply Company store at Frnest. He locked three persons in a vault and two in a refrigerator during the raid Monday morning May 15. Sheriff A Eugene Wilson and Deputy Sheriff H Elmer Borland took him to the penitentiary this morning. County authorities say he had been linked to a prior robbery of the same store in 1930. He was committed to the Pennsylvania Training School at Morganza in June 1980 and was paroled last May.
