Mrs John R Bryan and Mrs R M Smith spend the day in Pitsburgh. Mrs P J McGovern of Tenth street visits relatives in Rochester Mills. Stephen Lewis of Oak street spends days with friends in Pitteburg. Mrs Charles Keagan and her two children from New Kensington visit her mother Mrs Mary Ralstoc in Oakland avenue. Wilson Shields, recently at his daughter’s home, moves to another daughter’s home in Creekside for the summer.

Aviator Southard, a novice, died at the Wright aviation field near Dayton after attempting his first flight unaided despite mechanician warnings. He seized a hangar lock and the machine turned, killing him instantly. Separately, Lawrence K. Langdon of Lebanon, Republican floor leader, announced his candidacy for governor after the constitutional convention adjourns.
