Goulds to link Western Maryland with Wabash rail idea
Baltimore May 22 The Georges Creek and Cumberland railroad, bought by Western Maryland for a Cumberland outlet to a Cumberland to Pittsburg line, will be sold at auction next month. The link is being prepared by the general lien and convertible bondholders committee chaired by Alvin Welch. Local bankers say the Goulds plan to connect Western Maryland with the Wabash will be carried out.
