Wilburta L Jones daughter of Mrs Katherine Ol of Sligo Clarion County wed Raymond W Morgan son of Mr and Mrs B J Morgan of 1328 Roxbury Ave Johnstown in Franklin Street Methodist Episcopal Church. The double ring ceremony on 4:45 pm followed a golden-glass decor with gladioli peonies and myrtle. Attendants included Katherine Jones and Percival Park of Indiana. The bride wore ivory satin with old family gown heritage. Morgan’s grandmother wore the bride’s ring and his mother wore his ring. Mrs Morgan teaches in Johnstown High School. the couple plan a Western tour after term end and will reside in Johnstown.
Jane Van Duser of Indiana a drama department senator at Carnegie Tech leads in The Watched Pat final Tech theatre presentation. Daughter of Mr and Mrs H Van Duser of 727 Church Street Indiana, she has played leading roles in Tech productions over the past two years.
Harry B. Neal Jr of Indiana Pa, a Princeton senior, was elected to Sigma Xi, the national honorary scientific society. He is the son of Dr and Mrs Harry B Neal of 936 Church Street Indiana Pa. Mrs. Viola Moorhead announces the marriage of her daughter Emma Jean Moorhead to Daniel H. Martin Jr. in a Cumberland Md ceremony conducted by Rev G E Baughman. Both are Indiana High School graduates. she a theatre company associate, he with the State Highway Department. The event included fourteen guests and the newlyweds will reside in Indiana.
In Philadelphia on May 21 an emergency broadcast appealed for a donor with a rare blood type to save Mildred Danubio a 15 year old girl at Hahnemann Hospital. Doctors say a life threatening staphylococcus aureus infection leaves her with one in a thousand chance of recovery. Her condition grew critical yesterday.
Opera singer Lily Pons and her fiance Andre Kostelanetz arrived in Frederick Maryland on May 21 for a holiday motoring trip. Pons said they would marry in June and shared plans for a wedding next month.
Methodist men of western Pennsylvania gather in Syria Mosque Pittsburgh to mark the 200th anniversary of their denomination. Bishop Adna Wright Leonard opens sessions with Edgar T. Welch and Dr Louis A. Warren among speakers. Tomorrow features a broadcast service with Bishop Leonard and a program including Alvin York and Peter Shih, closing with Methodist Men on the March. Music by Arthur Tanner Plower Male Quartet and Pittsburgh Male Chorus.

E G Baltz and United States Building and Loan League report March 1938 saw a high in new construction loans with 23,877,100 borrowed for 7,786 families starting homes. Overall loan volume rose 25 percent from February and surpassed March 1936 levels though remain 23 percent below March 1937.
