Commodore Cooperative Buying Association Meet At Cookport
More than 500 members gathered for the Commodore Cooperative Buying Association annual meeting at Cookport Cooperative Hall on May 20. A chicken and salad supper, ice cream, and coffee were provided. a program with Marion Center orchestra and short films followed. The group, organized just over two years ago with 16 members, now has about 200 members and a substantial cardoor business in feed and fertilizer. In April the association sold sixteen cars of feed, fertilizer, and lime to members amid various contests with prizes of feed sacks.
