Tide Woman Succumbs To Her Injuries

Mrs. Carina Conels, 57, of Tide, died in Indiana Hospital at 10 15 p m after a car driven by Frank Aiming overturned on the Homey City Tide road, injuring her severely while en route from Tamer City. The crash occurred when a front tire blew, sending the car into a stone filled low mood and down an embankment. Aiming and Frank Crucis were injured but in good condition. an inquest will follow patrol investigation. Funeral services for Mrs. Crucis will be held at her daughter’s home in Homer City with burial in an Indiana cemetery.

Veteran Engine Man William Flynn Killed in Accident

In Mifflinburg Pennsylvania on May 20 an inquest was set for today into the death of William Flynn 63 a veteran Pennsylvania railroad passenger engineer from Columbus. He was fatally injured in Petion yards last night after stepping from an engine when a signal was missed. Flynn died ten minutes after the accident while preparing to leave on his 6 00 P M run to Columbus.

Robert J. Miller, Pexall store proprietor in State College, assumed charge as postmaster on May 18. He is not related to Alberic J. Miller of Indiana, despite claims.

Unemployment Council renames Indiana County group

At a county meeting the Unemployment Council of Indiana County changed its name to Work Federation of Indiana County and aligned with The United Workers Federation of Pennsylvania. Bankers disappearance spurs death notes found

Joseph W. Harriman, aged and ailing banker of the closed Harriman National Bank, vanished after leaving a nursing home in East Sixty Street. He reportedly wrote several death by own action notes before his disappearance, sparking a citywide search that yielded no trace besides a possible lead near East Valley cemetery.
