He lived in the community all his life and is survived by wife Leah and children J B Carnahan Mrs Carl Brandon Mrs Paul Weaver Mrs Scott Little Paul Carnahan two brothers two sisters and three grandchildren. Funeral at his home Saturday at 2 pm conducted by Rev Boston. Interment in Indiana.

Injunction Hearing Extended In Clearfield Coal Case
Judge Langham continued the injunction case against Clearfield Bituminous Coal Corp at Rossiter until May 23 after six hours of testimony from 66 witnesses. Defendants Marks McCloskey Gilbert Ghizzoni remained involved as officials. McCloskey and Gilbert were dismissed as individuals but not as officials. Prominent Oil City Executive Dies in DuBois Hotel
The body of Hopewell S. Phinney sales manager for Quaker State Oil was found in a hotel room in DuBois following a self inflicted gunshot. He was about 40 and active in local business and society leaving a widow three children and extended family. The body was taken to Oil City for burial.
