Coroner Concludes Inquest On Pennsylvania Railroad Disaster

Coroner’s inquest into the May Sowti Morrisburg wreck on the Pennsylvania line ended with witnesses from freight crews survivors and officials testifying. The jury will render a verdict. evidence showed a freight train was halted by sudden air and a car pileup involved 20 000 pounds of powder exploded by fire. Several victims have left hospital while the remaining injured are reported not to be in immediate danger.

Wreck at Newport Trifling Despite Express Collision

Harrisburg May 17 Pacific Express wrecked at Newport due to same cause as South Harrishire accident. No injuries and minor damage. A coal train on an adjacent track burst an air hose, four loaded cars toppled, the express struck the wreckage before stopping, delaying traffic for hours.
