Broadway magic as Merman and Martin headline benefit show
New York AP reports a star filled benefit at the Broadway Theater for the Museum of the City of New York. Ethel Merman and Mary Martin, both aged mid sixties, sang hits from South Pacific Gypsy and shared a duet There s No Business Like Show Business. Joined by Broadway luminaries Yul Brenner Burgess Meredith Joel Grey George Hose Peter Gennaro and others the evening showcased enduring voices and graceful dance with Merman delivering Blow Gabriel Blow and a medley that wowed the crowd.
