Prohibition Party Pledges For Public Welfare In Indiana County

J S Kirkwoon's 1914 Arcadia letter pledges support for ballot for women under equal terms with men, state insurance and pensions, worker's compensation, initiative referendum recall, and press free speech. It calls for separation of church and state, open private institutions to state inspection, fair taxation, better highways, county controlled road funding, opposition to political bosses, conservation, universal public education, age and schooling requirements for work, experimental farms, farmer and consumer cooperation, and loyalty to Prohibition platforms.
