Frantic mother in Yamette Oklahoma helpless to save her three daughters aged twelve to fifteen who drowned in a deep pool at Ponk creek near Wanette. The youngest stepped into the water and vanished, the middle girl attempted a rescue and disappeared, the oldest plunged in to help and also sank. A passerby rescued the woman who stood on the shore.
