Defense Production Agency seeks further billion in two months

Phila Slave Abraham Lee Dies at 104 in Conshohocken
Abraham M. Lee, 104, a former Philadelphia area slave and one of the last known survivors, died Sunday in Conshohocken. Born Feb. 9, 1847 in Albemarle County, Va, he gained freedom after the Emancipation Proclamation and helped popularize Negro spirituals. A founder of Galilee Church in Roxborough, he left five of his 13 children: James F. Norris town Pa, Edward H. Philadelphia, the Rev. Marshal Lee Conshohocken, Mrs. Effie Dean and Mrs. Mary Smith of Philadelphia.
