Interfaith march plans silent vigil at the Pentagon
An Interfaith group plans a peaceful silent march across the Potomac to the Pentagon to protest U.S. bombing of North Vietnam. Up to 1000 clergy and supporters from across the country expected, marching about 3 to 4 miles from a Washington church to Defense Department headquarters. The event, led by the Interreligious Committee on Vietnam, aims to press for unconditional talks and a peaceful settlement while supporting international cooperation for Southeast Asia. Martin Luther King Jr. is not expected to attend.
