Explorers Find Horned Blenny in Chesapeake Bay Waters

Naturalist Gilbert Klingel and photographer Willard Culver report for National Geographic on the Chesapeake Bay's murky depths. They describe horned blennies with humanlike faces and antler-like sensory horns, hopping like grasshoppers and living in empty oyster shells, photographed from a custom AquaScope off Gwynn Island Virginia.

Four Men Held For Burglary

BUFFALO N Y Three men believed by police to have been involved in 400 burglaries in western New York communities were under arrest today. Capt. Leon J. Miller said cash and merchandise netted by the trio in the past year was estimated by the suspects at 50 000 to 200 000 dollars. About 6 000 dollars in stolen property has been recovered. William G Helsel 27 Robert Gascoyne 34 and Thomas Gascoyne 28 are under arrest on burglary and fraud larceny charges. The trio operated in at least 20 villages and cities including Lewiston Batavia Salamanca Dunkirk Fredonia Medina Albion and Westfield and struck at random.

Nine In Test Of Atom Food

Nine conscientious objectors eat food irradiated to study nutrition retention for future soldiers. At Fitzsimons Army Hospital Maj. Gen. M. E. Griffin joined nine volunteers in their first meal with Lt. Col. Carl J. Koehn, head of the medical nutritional laboratory.
