Pittsburg May 9 The Westinghouse strike is practically over with factory doors opened and workers returning to jobs. Troops of cavalry surrounded entrances but there was no disorder. President Herr did not grant the workers demands.
Twenty men were lost off Eagle Harbor in a 60 mile gale on Lake Superior yesterday afternoon. The steamer Kirby sunk, while the Hartwell towed by the Kirby was later picked up by the Berry and brought to shelter near Keweenaw Point. One survivor reached the Sea aboard the Joseph Black this morning. WANTED men to manage stores in Ohio West Virginia and Maryland with Great Atlantic-Pacific Tea Co. at 430 First Avenue Pittsburgh.

Mary Martin Butterbaugh died of wood alcohol poisoning after leaving a carnival station in Punxsutawney. Coroner found alcohol in her system after an inquest at Sprankle parlors. Mother claims Mary was niece of Governor Bram baugh. no substantiation found. Funeral held at Sprankle chapel.
