Link Smoking to Cancer by Total LIfetime Pack Use

New seven year study by U S Public Health Service and American Cancer Society links lung cancer to total lifetime packs smoked. Among 473 cigarette smokers, many averaged a pack daily for 25 years, while eight were nonsmokers and nineteen used pipes or cigars. The report says total packs smoked matters more than the period of use, though it does not prove causation.
