The Indiana County Fish and Game Association will hold its general meeting at the Moore Hotel on Thursday May 9 at 8 p.m. A dinner precedes the business session. Two projects are planned: a new skeet field and a dam and lake on lower Big Yellow Creek to improve bass perch and catfish fishing and back water about two miles for fish propagation and a strong duck hunting waterbody in Wester Pennsylvania. The lake will also bolster tributary trout streams. The gathering targets business and professional residents of the county.

The body of Lennie Helmick, 34, of 326 Blairton avenue, who ended her life by hanging at Saint Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh, Saturday night, is taken to her father Warren Curley’s home in Weaver, West Virginia, for funeral services and burial. Kopczyk 10 Spend Year in Workhouse
Judge J N Langham yesterday sentenced four defendants who pleaded guilty. Kopczyk 23 of Buck Run near Clymer was fined 200 dollars and costs and received three to six months in the Allegheny county workhouse for drunken driving and a like term for manslaughter in the Indiana Clearfield road crash that killed Paul Kopson 21, who died of a fractured skull after the wreck. Kupczyk, unhurt, was jailed after officers said he was intoxicated. Hopson died April 14 when Kopczyk s car overturned while returning from Stafford. Lewis Toth 20 of Marsteller Cambria county was fined 200 and costs and given three to six months in the county workhouse for liquor charges and ordered to repair damages to Frank Shaffer s home in Penn Run.
