Greensburg May 6 William P Pfeil 63 year old well known Greensburg hotel man died at 10 30 Friday night at his home on the Lincoln highway west of the city He had been ill for some time He is survived by his widow Laura Pfeil one sister Hannah Hastey Bellevue and one brother Louis B Pfeil Pittsburgh We is survived by two nieces RF Peters and R E Diffenberger Greensburg For many years Mr Pfeil was manager of the Rappe hotel and later manager of the Mountain View hotel He then opened his home west of Greensburg for supper parties and transient guests Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

J Bernell Craig, a State Teachers College student in town, received a Peace Arch wooden nickel from a friend in Blaine Washington. The Blaine Relief Association issues round wooden coins backed by US currency or city warrants for unemployment relief. The city council approves non-interest bearing warrants as security and designates city work paid in wooden money. The nickels dimes quarters half dollars and dollars are accepted by local stores for merchandise.
