Fisher Meets Ani the County Show Big Gain

Members of the Cambria County Alumni association of Indiana State Normal school met to plan a special gathering Friday May 14 at 8 pm on the seventh floor of the Fort Stanwix Hotel. President M Vashti Burr called the meeting to show loyalty to the normal school and support John S. Fisher for Pennsylvania governor. Notable speakers from Pittsburgh Greensburg and Allegheny County attended a Rest Room gathering to back Fisher with Italian and foreign community leaders from Cambria and nearby counties.

Gandolph Held In Driving Charge In Loyalhanna Hearing

Gandolph G. A. Piesey is charged with reckless driving and failing to stop after an accident. Bail of 1000 dollars was posted by a Loyalhanna resident for a hearing before Squire Giesey on Monday evening. J. M. Deemer, 23, of Boston near Medgesport, charged with perjury, was released to custody of his parents after a prior arrest, then pled guilty at a Monday hearing and was committed to jail until bail or transfer. The case showed Deemer as the sole support of his Boston family, with wife living in Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Adolph Sutton Leads Multinational Indiana County Meeting

A large gathering of three to four hundred men from foreign clubs in and around Indiana County and nearby counties heard leaders including Mr Sut ton Mr Maddus and Albert Torquato discuss local foreign organizations. B A Leiotte closed the meeting with a speech and attendees represented every corner of the county. A Sagamore High School Adelphian Society staged a mock campaign impersonating Senate and governor candidates Pinchot Pepper Ware Fisher Phillips.

Veterans Day Parade Honors Mothers Wives of Defenders

Atlantic City report notes a parade featuring Katherine Mae Joyce Post of the American Legion leading a veterans group including nurses with World War service. The event includes twenty one gun salutes, flowers dropped by a U S Air Force squadron, and unveiling of tablets to wives and mothers. Speakers span Rev Charles Miller Captain William McFall Jr Rev Father James Cox and others. Multiple bands and bugle corps will participate under George H Becker.

Local Cut Rate Drug Store Opens

Widmann and Teah open a local cut rate drug store with manager J C Carstater a former Erle store head and Ray Albeck in charge of the prescription department both graduates of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy ensuring all prescriptions are supervised by alumni. The nearest Widmann and Teah store previously was in Punxsutawney.
