Edna Reed is returning to her New York school after a stay with family. Margaret Boscus of Church left for Litiea New York, visiting relatives and J.B. Miavus of New York plans to meet her again Monday.
William Ti he, a railway clerk, was sentenced to three years in prison after confessing to stealing $20,000 from the United States on July 4, 3912. He claimed funds came from the gig barge pocket and that he used the money for stock trades and lifting goods. He restituted about 600 after selling his home. A timber tract near Fleming was reported destroyed by fire in the same brief notice.
Metehor Bracken of Johns town died Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock after a long debility. He was 80 and a carpenter who served as class leader and on the church board since 1868. Survived by his second wife Anna McKeaters and a daughter Laura Young. funeral tomorrow at 3 with Rev. Everett Burnett at his home, Grandview cemetery. Mrs Mary L Adams, widow of Reed Adams, died Monday evening on N Fifth Street. obituary to be published in Wednesday Gaette.
Recent marriages include John R. Jones of Wilmore wed to Mrs. Margaret Lingle of Saltsburg in the bride’s home on May 2 officiated by Rev. George M. Ryall. Eugene Wilson Spicher and Mary Spicher of Cherrytree married Monday at 2 pm at Rev. Dr. J Day Brownlee's Church Street residence.
