Harrisburg May 3. Secretary Michael J. Frye of the Pennsylvania state employees association said demands of the newly formed state highway workers union would be presented to Warren Van Dyke, head of the Highway Department, this week. The union seeks a 40 hour week, higher wages and recognition. Delegates from 14 counties voted to join the committee for industrial organization. The association backs AFL policies. delegates oppose merging the State Police and Highway Patrol and favor McGinnis Labor Relations Bill and a 40 hour week.
